Zaha Sweater by GK KNITS Yarn Kit

This sweater resembles a tribute to an old sweater but also to modernistic approaches. I obviously have a crush for details and my love for grellow is no secret at all – looking at the Kokon colourways I couldn’t resist to play with this combo. Michelle came up with the name Zaha, looking at the sample and its somewhat unusual construction – nod to Zaha Hadids work, whom we both like and deeply admire.

The sweater is worked sideways, featuring dolman sleeves, a deep v-neck and contrasting details at the back, the front and the sleeves respective the side seams. The sweater is worked in pieces, starting at the middle of the front respectively back, working to the sleeves. For the back closing, the stitches are picked up from the cast on edge and finished with a three needle bind off.
