Super Farnese by Paula Wiśniewska Yarn Kit

Paula writes "Super Farnese is a modern triangle-shaped shawl named after the amazing Farnese gardens on Palatine Hill, Rome. This design is a younger sister of the Farnese shawl. I wondered if I could knit the same lace stitch pattern in bulky yarn. Super Farnese is an answer to this question, and the result is stunning!
The texture on the body of the shawl is created by a garter stitch and an all-over repeat of a botanical lace pattern, which is finished with a garter stitch border. Icelandic bind-off helps create a final extra touch to the edge.

This shawl is ultra-quick to knit and very warm because of the KOKON Handspun used.

Finished measurements: The sample is 49” / 125 cm wingspan and 19.5”/ 50 cm deep,

Materials
• Yarn: 3 x 100g skeins of KOKON Handspun 50 metres / 54 yards (100% NON SUPERWASH HANDSPUN MERINO). The sample was knit using KOKON Hand Spun in Spider.
• Suggested Needles: 10 mm / US 15 or 12mm / US 17 32" circular needles if you want it closer to the size of Paula's sample.
• Notions: 4 stitch markers, darning needle

Gauge: 10 stitches and 16 rows per 4 inches/ 10 cm after blocking with 10 mm / US 15 needles in Garter Stitch. Gauge is not crucial for this project but may affect finished measurements and yardage. If you are a loose knitter you may need more yarn.

Skills involved: Knitting and purling, increases and decreases, yarn-overs.
