The Shizen (Tee Pullover) design by Eri Shimizu starts from the middle of the back with a provisional cast-on and is worked up towards the shoulders. The back is split into two and the right and left backs are worked at the same time but separately with different balls of yarn to form a deep V. After the short rows for shoulder shaping, the braids are worked on the top of the shoulders, then the fronts are are worked separately then joined and worked to the chest. The front and and back are joined by knitting a braid then worked down in the round. The body is split again for the hem and the back hem is worked longer.
To add sleeves, stitches are picked up around the armhole and knit in the round straight, then decreased to work the cuff.
The pattern for the Shizen (Tee Pullover) is available in the book 'Wabi Sabi - the beauty of artisanally made yarns - A Nomadnoos book for knitter' publication. This is available through the link below.
