Sandstrand Sweater Yarn Kit

The Lovely Elsebeth Judith has done it again......she has created another timeless beautiful knit using the fab KOKON Merino Linen 4ply/light fingering weight yarn.

Sandstrand is a lightweight sweater with ease, worked top down with a small all-over stitch pattern.

The drop shoulders are worked flat with short-row shaping and the front and back are worked separately before being joined at the armhole. The body is worked in the round to desired length. Afterwards stitches are picked up along the armholes and the long sleeves are worked in the round.

Sandstrand is the simplified and plain version of the Sandfurer sweater and worked in collaboration with Kokon Yarn. 

Sizes : The sweater is meant to have a positive ease of approx 20cm/ 8” at circumference at the bust.
The finished bust circumference:
94 (102.5, 111, 118) (125, 132, 140) cm/37 (40.25, 43.75, 46.5) (49.25, 52, 55)”

Yarn : 4 (4, 4, 4) (4, 5, 5) skeins of KOKON Merino Linen, 4ply/light fingering, 90% merino, 10% linen, 360m/393yd per 100g/3.53oz
Amount of yarn is an estimate

Needles : 4mm / US6 for neck, body and sleeves. 3.5mm for neck ribbing, hem ribbing and sleeve ribbed cuffs.

Gauge : 23 sts x 36 rows over 10cm x 10cm/4” x 4” with 4.0mm/US 6 in Sand Stitch pattern after wet blocking Please take time to obtain gauge.
