Sandfurer Sweater Yarn Kit - Long and Short Sleeve Version
The Sandfurer Sweater Pattern is one of three gorgeous patterns designed for and in collaboration with KOKON by the brilliant Elsebeth Judith. This is the second of these gorgeous summery sweaters / tops using the merino-linen from KOKON. The other two being the Sandtoppe and the Sandhuller. All three designs by Elsebeth are can be knitted in either long or short sleeve versions. The fabulous yarn these gorgeous samples have been designed for and knit in, the KOKON Merino and Linen, compliments and makes these three designs the perfect summer knits.
The use of Sand Stitch pattern, the rib pattern and the beautiful hand-dyed linen-merino yarn from KOKON yarn give the sweater a remembrance of sunny days at the beach with furrows in the sand.
Elsebeth describes her design in the following way. "Sandfurer is a lightweight summer sweater with ease, worked top down with a small all-over stitch pattern. The dropped shoulders are worked flat with short-row shaping and the front and back are worked separately before being joined at the armhole. The rib pattern in front is worked from chart and creates “furrows” in the “Sand Stitch Pattern” and gives a slight waistline. The sleeves are worked in the round with the possibility to choose short, three-quarter or long sleeves."

The sweater is meant to have a positive ease of approx 20cm/ 8” at circumference of bust.
The finished measurement around bust is : XS 94cm/37” (S: 102,5cm/40.25”, M: 111cm/43.75”, L: 118cm/46.5”, XL: 125cm/49.25”, 2XL: 132cm/52”)
Yarn required for long sleeve version: 4 (4, 4, 4, 4, 5) skeins of KOKON Merino Linen, (light fingering, 90% merino, 10% linen, 360m/393yd per 100g/3.53oz skein). Sample pictured in the colour Moon.
Yarn Required for short sleeve version: 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 4) skeins of KOKON Merino Linen, (light fingering, 90% merino, 10% linen, 360m/393yd per 100g/3.53oz skein). Sample pictured in the colour Moon.
Needle s : US 4/3.5 mm, US 6/4.0 mm. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Gauge: 23 sts x 36 rows over 10cm x 10cm/4” x 4” with 4.0mm/US 6 in Sand Stitch pattern after wet blocking. Please always check your gauge.
