La Bella is the Great Ocean Road Woollen Mills most popular yarn range, using single sourced superfine Merino and stunning Alpaca. The name "La Bella" comes from the name of a shipwreck in nearby Warrnambool creating a link to the history and cultural past from the Great Ocean Road Woollen Mills corner of the world.
This special 100% Australian DK / 8ply Alpaca and Superfine Merino blend yarn feels incredibly soft. It is a two strand yarn. The yarn has been created to have a deliberate and unusual visual texture rather then a smooth blend therefore there is likely to be colour variations within each skein. The La Bella range uses natural fibres only to create the ‘coloured’ yarns.
