I have put together a groups of yarn kits for this beautiful pattern including the version picture above. These would be my choices if I was knit this beautiful shawl again or you can choose your own colours from the yarns listed below to create your own unique version of the Crystalline Shawl.
I would like to share a gorgeous new design by Gudrun Kelp with you. Gudrun lives in Cologne, Germany and is a passionate knitter who has turned designer. You can find Gudrun on Instagram as @gk.knits or on ravelry as GK KNITS. Gudrun has created an unique understated shawl for Kokon using Kokon Merino Linen in the main colour and Kokon Kidsilk Mohair for the contast colour. Gudrun took her inspiration from Bohemian Crystal cut glass. The Crystalline Shawl has the most beautiful mohair stitch details that reflect the facets found in cut glass.
The Crystalline shawl is a symmetrical shawl worked in rows, starting with a garter tab and getting its shape from increases along both edges and along either side of the middle row. The three edge stitches are worked in garter stitch.
The textured part of the Crystalline Shawl is separated by knot rows using an additional thread of kidsilk mohair. The result is a fully reversible providing a beautiful textured look on both sides.
