Sammensat 9 by Elsebeth Judith Yarn Kit
Sammensat 9 is part of “Sammensat sweaters” :
• ‘less is more’
• No bulks at the armpits – Elsebeth hates those bulks!
• Compose the sweater as desired - it’s meant for you to play and make it your own version
Sammensat 9 is a raglan cardigan worked from the top down with the possibility to adjust the length of the sleeves and the body.
The work starts at the neck and afterward increases for a lowered neckline. The increases for yoke and arms create curved raglan lines and this construction gives a better fit and prevents bulk at the body and arms. After finishing the yoke, the sleeves are separated on waste yarn, and the body is worked from the armholes to the hem in stockinette stitch and then a rib is worked before binding off. Stitches are picked up along the Fronts for working button bands in rib. Afterward stitches are picked up at the neckline for a rib. Sleeves are worked one at a time by putting the stitches back from waste yarn to the working needles and sleeves are worked in rounds with decreases to the cuffs. The cuffs are worked in rib before binding off.
