Once the short row shaped shoulder slopes are done, the back is worked flat to underarm, with a single purl-knot column running down at the center of the back. At underarm both fronts and back are joined to work the body top down back and forth to the bottom hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the arm openings to work the sleeves top down in rounds to the cuffs.
